How to Fix Top Row Keys

  1. Click the Settings panel/clock in the bottom right corner of your Chromebook screen.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon.
  3. Scroll down to the Device section and click Keyboard Settings.
  4. Make sure Treat Top-row Keys as Function Keys is turned off.

 

How to fix Screen Capture Issues

  1. Click the Settings panel/clock in the bottom right corner of your Chromebook screen.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon.
  3. Make sure top-row keys are not set as function keys by following the steps shown above.
  4. In the Device section, select Keyboard.
  5. Make sure Ctrl is set to Ctrl and Alt is set to Alt.
